Work Permits
If someone you wish to employ is not eligible to work in the UK, you may be able to arrange a work permit for them. It should be noted that work permits are employer specific and cannot be transferred from employer to employer (save in exceptional circumstances).
Where a person from overseas requires a work permit, you must obtain it before they enter the UK and start work. Both you and the employee are liable if the employment is illegal.
