Part time
Work is generally considered part-time when employees are contracted to work for anything less than the normal basic full-time hours.
There is no legal definition of “part time” – the regulations state that a part timer is someone “not identifiable” as a full timer, so the definition could vary from one work place to another. Part-time employees have the same employment rights as full-time employees.
