Turning Down

It is important to treat applications appropriately. If the candidate considers they have been discriminated against in the recruitment and selection process on the grounds of their race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief - or refused employment on the grounds of membership of a trade union - they can make a claim to an employment tribunal. If the tribunal finds in the applicant's favour it may award compensation or recommend some other course of action to reduce or stop the effect of any discrimination.

First, decide whom to employ as soon as possibe after the interview/test/assessment. Use of a structured scoring system can help.
