Private Health

Many firms set up private health care for employees and their immediate families to cover the costs of medical treatment. An external provider is appointed to administer the plan on the organisation's behalf and a range of costs are covered depending on the plan - these can include consultants' fees, hospital charges, out-patient treatments, ambulance charges and psychiatric treatment.

Remember that the cost of providing private health care to employees is a taxable benefit for employees and you must declare the costs on the PD11d return.
