Smoking at Work
Smoking in enclosed places at work and all enclosed public spaces is now illegal. Any existing facilities, such as designated smoking rooms, are also illegal. Employers who fail to prevent smoking in the workplace may be liable for fines of up to £2,500. The law in Scotland and Wales is similar to that in England, though enforcement varies.
