Drug Testing at Work

Drug testing at work can be legitimate, especially where health and safety issues are overriding concerns. However, employers have to tread carefully and a formal policy on drug testing is strongly recommended.

It is believed that close to 10% of UK employers now undertake or plan drug testing of employees in the near future. Drug testing is also now very common in the United States.
