Bullying and Harassment

These terms are used interchangeably and many definitions include bullying as a form of harassment.

In terms of employment law, harassment relating to sex, race, disability, religion or age can also be unlawful discrimination. Sexual harassment is also a relatively new and potentially difficult area for employers.

Employers who don't take reasonable steps to prevent harassment can be liable for the actions of their employees; and mobile phones and the internet massively increase the scope for such harassment.
